PLANTATION SECTOR

REQUIREMENTS

• Management and development of financial and regulatory reporting policies. and operational/ transactional activities.

Formulate budgets of the company, related to all business units and carry out

variance analysis Plan, forecast, identify and implement strategic actions to the overall

financial status of the company using past and actual performance/reports

Ensure accounting framework of the company is in accordance with International Accounting Standards and Sri Lankan Accounting Standards.

• Computation of tax, tax reporting and preparation of tax returns to the Inland Revenue Department and any other matters relate to the taxation
• Ensure total compliance, Interaction and communication with key external stake holders such as auditors, tax consultants, regulatory bodies, external analysts etc

Ensure the finance function is adequately resourced, that the performance. management process is followed with training and development needs.

• Act as a role model and demonstrate behaviors in a way that is aligned to the conduct framework and the values and ethical standards of the sector.
• Proactively drive continuous improvement in the team by stressing the importance of ongoing evaluation of existing processes to promote greater effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or a related degree from a recognized university and possess full qualification in CA / CIMA or ACCA.

Possess 5 years’ experience in a similar position and at least 2 years’

experience in the manufacturing / plantation sectors are highly advantageous.

• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Be computer literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft office package.
