AP SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES SRI LANKA

SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, a member organization of SOS-Kinderdorf International, provides total care to children who have lost their parents as well as children who are at risk of losing the care of their biological family. The organization has well-established Projects in Piliyandala, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, Anuradhapura, Monaragala, Jaffna, Gandara, and Peraliya & Malpotha.

Applications are invited from dynamic individuals for the following positions.

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT (PILIYANDALA)

The selected candidate will report to the Project Director and will be responsible for all project accounting activities such as budgeting, cash management, bank reconciliations, project-related purchasing, and bookkeeping activities.

Candidates should also be able to manage the project finances within stipulated timelines and budgets and work in close liaison with both external and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Part qualifications in accounting or finance.

A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role.

Proficient computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Online meeting platforms.

as MS Teams or Zoom. Previous work exposure to a Finance ERP system is desired.

Sound knowledge in written and spoken English as well as fluency in the local language.

FINANCE INTERN- (DURATION: 6 MONTHS LOCATION: PILIYANDALA)

The ideal candidate needs to be enthusiastic and energetic and will be expected to support all functions in the Finance department of SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka.

REQUIREMENTS

GCE A/L with Accountancy as a subject

in MS Office Packages including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to follow instructions and good communication skills.

Ability to work towards a deadline.
