VACANCIES CENTRAL ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORITY

(MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT) We are looking for qualified, dynamic, self-motivated, career ambitious, team players to join CEA to fill the following vacancies.

The upper age limit will not be applicable to the internal candidates and applicants already in the state service. Proficiency in English, familiarity with government regulations and computer literacy are essential prerequisites. Applicants who are in the Government/Semi Government Sector should forward their applications through Heads. of the Departments/ Institutes.

1. POST OF ASSISTANT LEGAL OFFICER (MA 5-1) (03 Posts)

Qualifications & Experience

LLB Degree which is recognized by the UGC and enrolled as

Attorney-at-Law.

Salary

: Rs. 34,870 10×660-15x75511x930-63,025

In addition to the above salary, Government approved allowances are also paid.

Initial Salary Step: Rs. 34,870.00

Age Limit

: Should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years.

The vacancies exist in the Head Office at Battaramulla and Eastern Provincial

Office at Kantale.

2. POST OF TRANSLATOR (MA 5-1) (01 Post)

Qualifications & Experience

Salary

: A Bachelor of Arts degree in Translation Methods/ Translation. Studies which is recognized by the UGC.

(Preference will be given to those who have experience in translation work from Sinhala to Tamil, Sinhala to English, English

to Tamil and vice versa as when necessary) Rs. 34,870-10×660-15×755-11×930-63,025 In addition to the above salary, Government approved allowances are also paid.

Initial Salary Step:

Rs. 34,870.00

Age Limit

: Should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years.

The vacancy exists in the Head Office at Battaramulla.

3. POST OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

(ELECTRICAL AND MECHANIC) – (MA 2-2) (1 Post)

4. POST OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (CIVIL) (MA 2-2) (01 Post)

Qualifications & Experience

Salary

: Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the National Vocational Qualification Level 5 in the relevant field, issued by a Technical / Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission. AND

One (01) year experience in the relevant field in a recognized Institution.

: Rs. 30,310-10 x 300-7 x 350-4 x 600-20x 710-52,360 P.M. In addition to the above salary, Government approved allowances

are also paid. Initial Salary Step: Rs. 30,310.00

Age Limit

: Should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years.

The vacancies exist in the Head Office at Battaramulla.

5. POST OF LAB ASSISTANT (MA 2-2) (02 Posts)

Qualifications & : Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the

Provincial Office at Kurunegala.
