STORE ASSISTANT

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Store Assistant’s key responsibilities include reconciling inventory records with physical stock, conducting stock audits, receiving and recording stock shipments, updating inventory records, generating reports, organizing storage, implementing best practices, and offering general assistance to store management as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regularly reconcile inventory records with physical stock to ensure accuracy.

Conduct routine stock audits to identify discrepancies and investigate root causes.

Assist in receiving and recording incoming stock shipments.

Coordinate with relevant departments to update inventory records for sales, returns, and damages.

Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.

Assist in organizing and maintaining the storage area for efficient stock retrieval.

Support in the implementation of inventory management best practices.

Provide general assistance to store management as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or warehouse environment.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Willingness to work diligently and adapt to changing priorities.

Certifications in inventory management or related fields are a plus.
