Manager – Quality Assurance (Project Management Department)

As we continue to expand our international presence, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Manager for our Sri Lanka Regional Office (for ten countries including Maldives, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, Laos and Sri Lanka) to execute complex construction projects while adhering to the highest standards of quality requirements.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join our team and oversee the quality management system for our construction projects and Sri Lanka Regional Office. The QA Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects meet or exceed client expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards and as well as company quality requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement the company’s quality management system (QMS) in accordance with ISO standards and other relevant regulations.
Establish and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance
across all construction projects. Collaborate with project team and other stakeholders to define quality requirements and objectives for
each project. Conduct regular inspections and internal audits to monitor compliance with quality standards and
identify areas for improvement.
Provide guidance and support to project teams on quality-related issues, including interpretation of specifications, quality control techniques, and corrective actions.
Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of project staff in quality
management practices. Lead investigations into quality incidents, non-conformities, and customer complaints, and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
Manage the documentation and record-keeping process for quality-related activities, including maintaining quality records and reports. Monitor and analyze quality performance data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and
best practices.
as the primary point of contact for clients, regulators, and third-party auditors on matters related to quality assurance and compliance.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact quality management practices in the construction industry.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and an advanced degree or professional certification in quality management is preferred.. assurance or quality control roles within the construction
Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality industry, with demonstrated experience in managing complex projects or multinational construction
firms. Working experience in reputed international construction companies for overseas/local construction
projects will be an added advantage.
In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools, including 150 9001 standards.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques, with the ability to interpret
technical specifications and drawings.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving measurable results in quality performance.
Experience with quality management software systems and tools will be an added advantage.
