Royal Institute comprises of 5 schools (under the banner of Royal Institute international School) and a higher education arm, Royal Institute of Colombo, Royal Institute has maintained a tradition of providing quality education to students for over 50 years.

The IT Officer is responsible for supporting day-to-day IT operations at the assigned school branch. This includes providing user support, maintaining systems and devices, and ensuring stable and secure technology use within the branch.

Provide on-site support to academic & non-academic staff and students for IT-related issues.

Maintain and troubleshoot computers, printers, and network devices

Install update and configure hardware and software.

Ensure data security, backups, and system updates are performed regularly, Maintain IT asset records and liaise with vendors as needed.

Support internet, email, and school software applications.

Provide basic IT training and assist in implementing IT-related projects.

Maintain relevant IT documentation and usage logs.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.

Effective time management and task prioritization.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

Diplomo or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar IT support role.

Familiarity with Windows OS, basic networking, printers, and end-user support.

Experience in an educational environment will be an added advantage.
