Project Description

The program Strengthening Social Cohesion and Peace in Sri Lanka (SCOPE) started operations on 1 March 2022 and is financed by the German Federal Foreign Office and the European Union, SCOPE’s overall objective is to contribute to an inclusive, peaceful and prosperous society, its specific objective is to advance social cohesion in Sri Lanka.

Your Profile

Currently enrolled university students or recent graduates (within last 6 months) in Social Sciences e.g. Sociology, Environment or Economics or closely related field, from a reputed univeristy with an interest in development issues. Proficiency in English and at least one national language is required. Trinlingual advantagous. A keen interest in inclusive development and social cohesion is preferred, with flexibility to travel. Selected candidates will undergo their internship full-time for a period of six months.

What you gain

The internship will provide an opportunity to gain experience with the team working to support a more inclusive and pluralist public discourse, specifically by supporting the planning and implementation of activities in the field of social media, communication, visbility strategies and partner outreach and support.
