Data Analyst

Head of Programs

Country Office Akkaraipattu

Fixed Term

Till 31 Dec 2024 (extendable subject to organizational need and performance)

The position will be required to work in close coordination with project/function leads under the guidance of Head of Programs to obtain, consolidate, visualize and present the data for reporting purposes. The position will also assist the project leads in reporting and data management to meet the reporting targets.

Key Working Relationships: Work closely with the Head of programs and project/department leads for reporting. Need based coordination with donors/other external stakeholders under the guidance of HOP.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The following are the main responsibilities that the role holder will be accountable for:

To create master data by collecting the data coordinate from respective Unit leads and gather

data By using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide

strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities. Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems,

dashboards and performance metrics support that support. Provide required data during proposal development and to feed other needs.

Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables towards monthly, quarterly and annual of reporting employees with comprehensive policies and processes. Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as

modeling, visualization and communication deliverables. Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to various stakeholders.

Oversee the data/report requests process and ensure all our information are captured accurately and need based.

Develop and implement quality controls of data to ensure quality standards to meet organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.

Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to RHS, technology etc within the department

and design/implement solutions to meet these needs. Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analyst and data employees and effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within and outside of the organization – based on the need.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its PSEAH (preventing sexual

exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. IR has a zero-tolerance policy towards PSEAH and don’t support any action that promotes or encourages PSEAH

SLARIC

Qualification and Experience: Bachelor Degree or a 2 years diploma recognized by UGC in relevant discipline, with 2 or 3 years’ experience respectively, in the similar capacity.

Computer Skills: MS Office, Outlook, data analysis tools, ERP systems familiarity

Language: English and local/national languages.

Desirable:

Strong MS Excel skills

Statistical Knowledge

Data Cleansing

Data visualization

Creating dashboards and reports

Report writing

Key Personal Qualities:

Attention to detail

Ability to handle pressure and timelines.

Good communication skills in local languages as well as in English

Leaming attitude and a continuous improvement philosophy.

Ability to propose innovative solutions to the problems
