Cost Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented team player to join our team as Cost Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and validate BOMs to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Conduct pre-closing reviews of work orders, verifying correct cost item allocation against BOMS.

Perform regular post costing for completed jobs and investigate unusual variances.

Provide actionable insights to management for resolving variances.

Monitor sales orders to ensure smooth production, timely delivery, and accurate invoicing.

Address discrepancies or delays in the order to invoice process.

Prepare and present monthly performance reports, highlighting key cost drivers and variances.

Facilitate the timely and accurate closure of monthly accounts.

Support system improvements and integration to enhance cost tracking and reporting.

Required to visit the factory located at Mabima.

Ideal Candidate Should Possess:

Part/Full qualification in ACA/CIMA or equivalent qualification in accounting or finance.

Proven experience in conducting pre- and post-costing activities in a manufacturing or production environment.

Familiarity with system-driven cost accounting practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, advanced skills will be an added advantage.

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
