Assistant Accountant

JM (JM 1-1) for Sri Lanka’s Largest Retail Chain Qualifications: External Candidates: ( 1 or 2 below) 1. 2. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy / Finance Management/Commerce / Business Administration which is recognized by the U.G.C. Having completed the Intermediate certificate of a recognized professional Chartered Institute, of which the subject area is relevant to the post. Internal Candidates (1 or 2 or 3 below): 1. Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidates above. 2. 3. Age Completion of five (05) years satisfactory service in a post of a MA-4 category, in the subject area relevant to the post. Completion of five (05) years satisfactory service in a post of a (MA 1-2) Grade II category in the subject area relevant to the post : Age should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years. (The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates) Nature of Appointment : Permanent basis with entitlement to E.P.F. and E.T.F. Salary Code: JM 1-1 Salary Scale : Rs. [42,600 – 10 x 755-18 x 1135-70580] Basic Salary : Rs. 42,600/= (In addition, allowances will be paid applicable to the post according to the Government Circulars) Other Benefits Contract Basis with entitlement to E.P.F and E.T. F. Nature of appointment: Transport Allowance and Communication allowance will be applicable to the post, according to the Government Circulars. The Ideal Candidates should also: Other i. ii. iii. Have excellent analytical, Problem solving and organizing skills with the ability to evaluate, review, interpret data and should be highly self-motivated individual; Possess strong leadership qualities, interpersonal communication skills; Be able to demonstrate good IT skills.
