This post is ideally suited for a dynamic individual below 35 years and ready to take on the responsibilities of the post with real enthusiasm and dedication for his/her own professional development.
Candidate Profile
Minimum 2 years experience and 1 year in an audit firm
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala.
Good knowledge of accounting software and MS Office software.
Hands on experience with MYOB or similar accounting software a definite advantage.
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately.
Job Role Includes
Handling Petty cash and banking operations
Raising of PO according to the agreed prices with Suppliers
Checking and preparing payments (Cash, cheques, Bank transfers) according to the set process for suppliers, utilities
Ensure reconciliations are performed on a regular basis within the set timelines, in order to ensure that the accounting ledgers reflect the correct positions
Ensure proper maintenance of recorded documents
Assisting the Head of the Accounts Department in daily operations
Preparing management accounts and month-end duties
Preparing and filing tax schedules (VAT etc.)
Remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience.
