Assistant Accountant
Job Responsibilities
Maalu Maalu Resort – Pasikudah
• Maintenance, and reconciliation of financial data to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Preparation of monthly financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, for review by management. Processing invoices, tracking expenses, and managing accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.
• Assisting with payroll processing, including maintaining employee records, calculating wages, and ensuring compliance with tax and labor regulations.
• Conducting periodic inventory audits and reconciling discrepancies to maintain an accurate account of hotel assets.
• Collaborating with internal and external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional accounting certifications (e.g., CA, CIMA partly qualified) are advantageous.
• 2 years of progressive experience in accounting, with demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting.
• Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software, financial management systems, and Knowledge in Microsoft Office 365.
Accounts Officer
Job Responsibilities
• Preparing and maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.
• Assist and coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
Handling vendor relationships, and managing accounts payable to ensure timely payments. Managing and reconciling petty cash and cash handling procedures in accordance with established policies.
Job Requirements
Certificate/ Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional accounting certifications (e.g., CA, CIMA partly qualified) are advantageous.
• 01 year experience in accounting.
• Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality industry is preferred.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office 365.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
